The Allan Denham trained filly Dublette was finally able to find her level and break through for an impressive win in the Kooindah Waters Sculptures By The Greens Three Year Old Maiden (1000m). It was the filly’s ninth start and prior to that she had been placed six times. “Every other time she ran into something better than her,” Denham said. “She is a very honest filly and I think she will go on to more wins now.” Josh Adams parked Dublette, the heavily backed odds on favourite, in third placed behind the leaders then got a split at the top of the straight. Dublette went straight through the gap to go on and win by one and a quarter lengths from the Guy Walter trained Clam Chowder (Kathy O’Hara) in 57.33 seconds, a good effort considering the track was rated a slow 7. She also ran home the last 600 metres in a smart 33.89 seconds.
