Some re-education on the Graeme Rogerson trained Henriette paid off when the filly turned in a tough win in the Dam Hotel Maiden (1350m). The first thing that jockey Jim Cassidy did after returning to scale was tell foreman Andrew Burnett that the filly had jumped well at the start. “We think she is a filly with a lot of ability and we have had an opinion of her for some time,” Burnett said. “However she was missing the start so we did some work re-educating her and it looks to have worked.” Henriette was always three and four wide with Cassidy taking off at the 800 metres to get in touch with the leader Mr Justin. Cassidy took Henriette down the centre of the track in the straight to win by three quarters of a length from the favourite Rain Special (Corey Brown) with the luckless Ourmagicgaze (Kody nestor) a further half length away third. Mr Justin, trained at Wyong by Phillip Hodgson hung on well for fourth.
