Winners come in all shapes and the horse they call Radish around the Kim Waugh stable proved just that yesterday. Purrfect Dancer might be a sway back but she produced a solid effort to win the Sealey At Domayne Maiden (1600m) after being well supported late from $5.50 to $4.80. Nash Rawiller allowed the big grey mare to settle well back early then circled the field from the 600 metres to grab the top weight Gargle (Tye Angland) near the line and win by half a length. “Not only is she a sway back but a lazy one at that,” Waugh said. “We thought Nash would suit her because he is such a strong rider and would keep her mind on the job. “There are no special plans with her. “We will just keep trying to do our best.”
